The very jarring and heavyweight descriptive that I've landed on as a title for this piece. It both reflects how I felt during the creation process as well as what I see looking at the end product. Recently, I've come to an understanding within myself and my experiences that goes a little something like this... LIFE informs ART ART reflects LIFE A quote came through my inbox today as I was sitting in the flow state writing this which was... "Art is made in hindsight" - Virgil Abloh In some of the process for this piece I was having a panic attack. I realized in hindsight and processing with my support system that I was feeling paralyzed and stuck in certain areas of my life. And it was coming through the cracks loud and clear. But in the moment when I sat down to paint I had no idea that was what I was feeling. And in a swift move of ART reflecting LIFE back to me, I was revealed the truth. Understanding your truth and trusting in self is the ultimate key to unlocking the life that is in highest alignment with your soul. Let it be and watch the magic happen. I know that art is there for me and that by extension it can serve others as well. Standing in my truth as an artist has provided a sense of inner peace I did not know was accessible. We all deserve to know what that is for ourselves.
